#10 A Pale View of Hills by Kazuo Ishiguro

Up to pages 144. It's timely that I read this book. There is a lot of dialogue, and I'm starting to focus on dialogue in my writing. I know I don't want to write dialogue like what's in this book. It is very stiff, and I don't understand a lot of the exchanges or rather what emotion is playing a part. Is someone saying something sarcastic, or rather devious. Maybe I would prefer more description to help develop the dialogue. This would be a great book club book because of the difficulty in understanding any undercurrent of the dialogue.

I've tried to read a book by Kazuo Ishiguro before, and I couldn't finish it. This was in the book exchange box at work, so I decided to give it another try.
